NSW Right to Life values protecting your privacy and in doing so follows current Australian best practice guidelines and the spirit and intent of the Privacy Act 1988 to ensure your privacy is protected.

 Information provided by you

The content of e-mails or comments made in feedback or comment forms may be retained and passed on, along with your name and e-mail address, to the appropriate section of NSW Right to Life for consideration, a response and possible follow-up, if it is considered appropriate. The information provided will not be used for any other purpose and your name and e-mail address will not be added to a mailing list unless specifically requested by you or in the "Get Involved" tool of this website.

Information provided by you as part of a credit card transaction will be handled by securely and confidentially. The information is not held on NSW Right to Life Internet servers and is passed directly to NSW Right to Life's credit card transaction service provider through a secure channel. The information will not be used for any other transaction or purpose or provided to any other third party.

Information provided by you in the course of completing an on-line petition will be passed on to the appropriate officer. It will also be used to communicate back to you on related issue(s). However, it will not be used by NSW Right to Life for any other purpose unless specifically requested by you.

All e-mail and newsletters sent via automated mailing lists will clearly identify NSW Right to Life as the sender and will include a suitable method for unsubscribing. Unsubscribing from a list removes you from receiving any further e-mail broadcasts as a result of the corresponding e-mail mailing list.

Information collected

As you browse NSW Right to Life's websites, its servers log some non-identifying data which is used for statistical purposes and improving the performance of the sites and how they are presented to you.

This data includes:

  3. the site last visited
  4. the pages visited and items downloaded
  5. the time spent on each page and total time spent on the site
  6. the top level domain name and country of your Internet provider, e.g., com - org - au

Personal information provided to NSW Right to Life and information collected by NSW Right to Life will not be disclosed to any other third party except where it legally required, such as in the investigation of a criminal offence, and in compliance with a search warrant or subpoena.

In the case of credit card transactions, the IP address of the visitor may be recorded, however, this information will not be used or disclosed except where it is legally required, such as in the investigation of a criminal offence, and in compliance with a search warrant or subpoena.

Security of the information collected

Complete personal information provided to the NSW Right to Life is not stored on its web servers and access is restricted to it. However, you should be aware that unencrypted information whilst in transit via the Internet inherently is not secure. Should you wish to send information to NSW Right to Life of critical importance and be assured of high security, please arrange another method of delivery.
